Description

FastMCP is a TypeScript framework for creating Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers with first-class client session management. It simplifies defining typed tools, resources, and prompts using Standard Schema-compatible validators (Zod, ArkType, Valibot) and supports authentication, progress reporting, logging, and error handling. The framework includes SSE transport for remote connections, image and binary resource handling, typed server/session events, and CLI tooling for testing and inspection. It is aimed at developers building MCP servers and agent integrations for local or networked workflows.
