Description

This MCP server provides a full-featured interface to Ensembl’s REST API, grouping endpoints into 10 functional tools for biological tasks such as gene information, variant data, sequence retrieval, and comparative genomics. It is built with TypeScript for robustness and ease of use, designed to be biologist-friendly by organizing data by biological function rather than REST paths. The server supports multi-species data, cross-references to external databases, and includes built-in rate limiting to comply with Ensembl usage policies.
