Description

MCP Deep Research is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that uses the Tavily API to search the web and return research results to agents. It is configurable via environment variables (including a required TAVILY_API_KEY) and offers options for search keyword limits and planning rounds. The server is optimized for prompt-based MCP clients and includes installation guidance for Smithery and compatibility notes for various clients. Function-calling-based MCP clients may see reduced performance compared to prompt-based clients.
