Description

This MCP server wraps the Comic Vine API to provide tools for listing and searching DC Comics characters, issues, movies, and related resources. It offers tool actions like get_characters, get_issues, search, and retrieval by ID, and is designed to be registered with MCP hosts (Claude Desktop, GitHub Copilot, MCP Inspector). The server requires a Comic Vine API key (configured via .env or MCP host env) and returns images and data fetched directly from the Comic Vine API. It is useful for agents that need on-demand comic metadata, images, and filtered queries for DC universe content.
