An MCP integration that connects Cursor AI to Figma via a TypeScript server, WebSocket relay, and Figma plugin to read, modify, and export Figma documents programmatically.
Inspect a Figma document and selection programmatically to build contextual responses or generate summaries of a design.
Create, move, resize, style, or delete Figma nodes (frames, rectangles, text) as part of automated UI/UX edits or prototyping workflows.
Export design elements as images or execute small JavaScript tasks inside Figma to perform advanced or custom modifications.
This project provides a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that lets Cursor communicate with Figma using a WebSocket relay and a Figma development plugin. It exposes tools to inspect the document and selection, create and modify nodes (frames, rectangles, text), apply styling, manage components and styles, and export nodes as images. The integration enables automating design edits from Cursor, running small scripts inside Figma, and building agent workflows that manipulate Figma files. Setup is local and developer-focused, requiring Bun, adding the MCP to Cursor, and installing the Figma plugin.
