A simple example MCP server that lets Claude (MacOS desktop) interact with a local mock JSON HTTP server for testing and development.
Test and prototype MCP-driven HTTP requests against a local mock JSON API without deploying a remote service
Demonstrate or validate Claude's ability to perform CRUD operations via MCP tools on local endpoints
A reproducible development environment to inspect available MCP resources using the provided inspector command
This repository provides a minimal setup demonstrating how to connect Claude (MacOS) to a local JSON mock server via the Model-Computer Protocol (MCP). It includes npm scripts to run a mock API and an MCP server so Claude can send real HTTP requests to local endpoints. The example is intended for local development and testing of agent interactions (CRUD operations) and includes an inspector step to view available MCP resources. It's lightweight and easy to run for prototyping MCP integrations.
