An MCP server that lets AI assistants manage Google Calendar events through Claude Desktop with automatic OAuth authentication and global credential storage.
Create and schedule Google Calendar events (title, time, description, location) on behalf of a user.
List or retrieve events in a given time range to summarize a user's schedule or find free/busy slots.
Update or delete existing calendar events and maintain persistent authentication with minimal user friction.
This server provides a Model Context Protocol (MCP) interface for creating, retrieving, updating, deleting, and listing Google Calendar events from AI assistants. It integrates directly with the Google Calendar API, supports both Desktop and Web OAuth credentials, and includes an automatic browser-based authentication flow that stores credentials globally (~/.calendar-mcp/). The project also offers Docker support and simple configuration for use within Claude Desktop, simplifying calendar automation for local agent workflows.
Create a new calendar event. Supports natural language dates like "tomorrow at 2pm" or "next Tuesday".
List calendar events with optional filtering by date range.
Update an existing calendar event. Only provided fields will be updated.
Delete a calendar event by ID.
Find available time slots in the calendar that match the specified duration.
