Description

Bifrost runs an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server from within VS Code that surfaces language-server capabilities (definitions, references, completions, code actions, semantic tokens, etc.) to external AI tools. It supports project-specific endpoints and ports, allowing multiple VS Code workspaces to expose isolated MCP endpoints. Communication is via SSE and HTTP message endpoints, making it easy to integrate with MCP-compatible agents and gateways. This enables agents to perform precise code navigation, refactoring, and analysis using the full power of installed VS Code language extensions.
