Description

The Basic Memory MCP Server enables users to build and maintain a local knowledge base by interacting with Large Language Models (LLMs) like Claude. It does this by storing conversations and notes in simple Markdown files on the user's computer. The server supports seamless bidirectional communication using the Model Context Protocol (MCP), and it's designed to keep all the data local, maximally empowering users to explore their information semantically while keeping everything under their control.
