An MCP server that analyzes code repositories and automatically generates documentation, test plans, and senior-level code reviews using the OpenRouter API.
Automatically generate structured documentation for a codebase by analyzing directories and source files.
Produce detailed test plans (unit, integration, end-to-end), edge cases, and mocking requirements for repository components.
Senior developer-level code reviews focused on security, best practices, architectural concerns, and refactoring suggestions.
Autodocument is a bottom-up MCP server that recursively analyzes directory structures and code files (respecting .gitignore) to produce documentation.md, testplan.md, and review.md outputs for each directory. It uses OpenRouter (configurable model, default Claude 3.7) to generate AI-powered content and can update existing files or create fallback files for oversized directories. The tool is highly configurable, supports progress reporting to avoid timeouts, and is designed with a modular architecture to make it easy to extend with additional auto-* tools. It is intended to streamline repository documentation, testing strategy creation, and code review workflows for developers and agent-driven automation.
