A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that lets AI assistants interact with Atlassian Confluence and Jira (Cloud and Server/Data Center) for search, content management, and issue automation.
Update Jira issues and automate transitions, comments, or worklogs based on meeting notes or assistant outputs.
Search Confluence spaces, retrieve and summarize documentation, and create or update pages programmatically.
Multi-tenant OAuth support so each user can supply their own Atlassian tokens and cloud-id while the MCP server proxies requests securely.
MCP Atlassian is a Docker-distributed MCP server that provides a suite of tools for interacting with Jira and Confluence via API token, personal access token, or OAuth 2.0. It exposes read/write operations (search, get, create, update, transition, comment, etc.), supports multi-cloud OAuth scenarios, custom headers, proxying, and IDE integrations via stdio or HTTP transports. The server includes tooling filters, read-only mode, and is designed to enable AI assistants to automate tasks like updating issues from notes, searching and summarizing Confluence content, and programmatically creating or updating pages and issues.
