Description

This server implements a Model Context Protocol (MCP) service that provides real-time academic paper search, detailed metadata retrieval, abstracts, and PDF/open-access information when available. It exposes tools for searching by query or topic (with optional date ranges) and fetching paper details by identifier. The implementation targets integration with Claude Desktop but follows MCP so other clients supporting tool/function calling could use it. The project is open-source (AGPL-3.0) and under active development.
